Baby help!!!

Good morning fellow Plant Parents!!! Newbie plant mom here... My Nahida (dwarf snake plant) has a little baby and as of today, it has clashed with her mom's leaf. Do I have to uproot Nahida and separate the baby or is it better to leave her as is?
16ft to light, indirect

I would leave it for now and let it get bigger. They’re easier to propagate when they’ve had time to develop some roots.
My instinct says no. I did that and it died. I was told they like to be snug.
@RefinedSandwort Fair point. Thank you so much!!!Everything's still new to me so I'm always anxious.
@ExactDragontree Oh no. Sorry about that. 😒
@CottonCandy I started with succulents almost 2 years ago and it has been 11 months since I got my first snake plant. I’m still learning, too. My first 2 snake plants had pups on them when I purchased them. The pups were larger and had roots of their own. They rooted easily. My first snake plant has a pup about the same size as yours. I’m waiting until it gets a good bit larger to remove. Hopefully it will become a gift for someone by Christmas! The pictures are my 1st snake plant with its original pup and now its new baby.
@RefinedSandwort They're so lovely and precious!!! 😍 So they can thrive together for a while, I see. The pup even grew taller than her mother plant. This is indeed inspiring, thank you for sharing. I really appreciate it. πŸ’•πŸ’•
