Just planted it outside. How often should I water
0ft to light, direct
10โ pot with drainage
Last watered 3 years ago
How often and how much depends on exposure, climate, and soil. I would also prefer to deep water less frequently to encourage deeper roots.
I see you live in Renton Washington west of the Cascades, when there is a week with no rain, I would slow water a new tree once a week with 5 gallons, about 6โ to a foot away from the base of the tree if the soil has moderate to good drainage some sand. This is likely a bit much if your soil is high in clay.
