Light requirements for pothos?
So my #MarbleQueenPothos and my #GoldenPothos are kinda far from my #GrowLightsβ¦would they be ok like the Ivy? Do they do ok in low-light? Light from the window getβs them but none from the grow light. The window is west oriented. Any help? #PothosPack itβs about 177.8cm (~70in) from the windowβ¦ @dreamlettuce any ideas??
They can do ok in low light but they thrive in bright indirect light. The amazing thing about Pothos is that with time, they can adjust to any lighting you give it.
I have several Pothos in my East facing window (morning sun only, indirect semi-bright light rest of the day) that thrive on JUST that morning sun.
I also have a few Pothos in my West facing window (direct sun all afternoon) who are also thriving and starting to climb because of the bright light.
Even if your Pothos isnβt directly getting the grow light, placing it near the grow light will do just fine ππ½πͺ΄ or even placing it near the West window will also be plenty π€©

@dreamlettuce tyyyy
I think @dreamlettuce is right! Pothos are tough plants. These three are 15 feet away from a big west window and they don't grow quickly, but they grow!

This highly variegated pothos is versatile, forgiving, and easy to grow. They can grow well in nearly any space in your home, and donβt require things like regular pruning or repotting in order to thrive. In fact, marble queen pothos enjoy being slightly rootbound, and should only need to be repotted once every couple of years.
While marble queen pothos can flower, it is rare to see them flower indoors and their flowers are fairly insignificant compared to their stunning foliage anyways. However, if you are lucky enough to see one, it is a great sign that your pothos is happy and thriving under your care.
Giving your Queen plenty of bright, indirect light helps immensely. Avoid sunlight directly hitting those leaves though or sunburn is very likely.
These gorgeous girls thrive on high humidity (low humidity is another cause of browning, but usually the tips, not the edges or whole patches in the middle).
