When syngoniums droop, it’s a sign they’re thirsty! I see you watered 6 days ago in the plant card. Is this about the time you water?

I water my Syngonium about every 5-6 days and gets droopy when thirsty!
Sometimes the shock of a new environment makes plants unhappy, but they usually bounce back. I'm not an expert in your plant, but it could be that it gets too much sun where it currently is, or it's just real thirsty! Both of those can make leaves droopy. If they're yellowing, are they mushy? That could be a sign of overwatering, or if they're not mushy then it could just be this plant's way of storing surplus nutrients, in which case it's natural and you can just remove the leaf when it turn completely yellow. Your plant still looks very healthy to me! Also completely unrelated, but where on Earth did you get your egg cup air plant holder?? It is so adorable, I must have it 😍
@kscape i used to water every two weeks for low maintenance but i’ve never been good at keeping plants alive so i thought i would listen to this app. i will give it water since the soil is quite dry, thank you!!
@magicthyme87 I’ll show you my white butterfly Syngonium!

This is her when she gets thirsty and then a couple hours after I water her! Syngoniums are great because their leaves will tell you if they’re thirsty or not 😁

I also have mine in my East facing windowsill and it is THRIVING, so the light isn’t an issue. It’s probably just thirsty :)

Also, they grow very fast so if you have leaves that are yellowing at the bottom, they’re most likely older leaves and using them to push out new growth 🌿✨
@UnbiasedTree the yellowing leaves feel the same as the healthy ones… not sure what to make of that. i got my egg air plant from a small tourist shop on vancouver island, but i’ve seen similar things at local pop up markets!
@kscape that is so great what an easy way to tell!! thank you :)
@magicthyme87 Of course! Don’t worry too much about the yellowing of leaves! If you want to expand and make your plant bushier, you can prune the leaves and your plant will push out new growth from those areas! That’s how I’m making mine a little bigger 😁

The leaves are probably older and at the end of their life span 🫢🏽πŸͺ΄βœ¨
@kscape good to know! i heard this plant was easy to take care of so i was quite worried when i woke up to thisπŸ˜… glad it’s not an issue!!
@magicthyme87 Syngoniums are very easy and one of my favorites! If you ever have ANY questions regarding them, tag me! I’ve dealt with pests, watering issues, lighting issues, etc with Syngoniums 🀣

Here are my two babies 🫢🏽 Midori & Satori πŸ’–
@magicthyme87 Welcome to Greg. I agree with @kscape πŸ’―
Also, syngoniums are vining plants...so sometimes vining can look like drooping! In this case it sounds like a water issue, but just something to keep in mind down the road. 😊
