My new growth, a button fern is starting to get some dead...

I usually prune the dried ends.
I have found my ferns like higher humidity so I use a humidity tray for them. I just put some rocks in a plastic water catcher and set the pot on the rocks. I put water in the catcher and filll it as needed, just make sure the water does not touch the bottom of the pot. That has helped prevent my ferns from getting those brown tips.
It could be a sign that it wants a little more humidity too! I know ferns can be fickle
