Firefly petunia help… 😭

So a few months back I got this lovely firefly petunia, put it outside, and boy he was sad. Per some suggestions I brought him back in a repotted him in normal soil and he bounced back. I never tried to acclimate him outside I just have him under a grow light with my indoor plants, but now he looks as bad as he did when he was outside! I feel guilty every time I look at him, what do I need to do to make him happy? #FireflyPetunia #help

@Squiddylumpkins It may not be getting enough light or could be experiencing root issues. Make sure the grow light you're using provides enough intensity. Check if the plant is root-bound, as that could prevent it from absorbing water and nutrients properly. Adjust your watering routine, keeping the soil consistently moist but well-drained. Prune any damaged leaves to promote healthier growth. When temperatures allow, consider gradually reintroducing the petunia to outdoor conditions for better results.
It sounds like your petunia may be struggling with the transition between environments and possibly adjusting to the light conditions. When moving plants between indoor and outdoor settings, it’s important to acclimate them gradually to avoid shock. You could try slowly reintroducing the plant to outdoor conditions by placing it outside for a few hours a day, gradually increasing the time. Make sure it's in a well-draining soil and that it's getting the appropriate amount of light and water for petunias. Grow lights can help, but they need to mimic the plant’s natural outdoor lighting conditions as closely as possible. Regular pruning of damaged leaves and stems can also encourage healthy growth.
@Gustavo he’s been inside for months now under a grow light and near a window- at first he was super happy in this spot but now looks like the photos. Could a lack of light make him look so sad? I’m in Texas and it is still too hot for him outside from the firefly website. I’ll check that he’s not root bound and try to clean him up tonight.
