Possibly Dying?
My lovely petunias, Fraya, I got recently (I believe the 11th) because I felt as though these little guys could use some extra TLC their flowers are drying out near the edges, and I just had an entire flower, not even fully bloomed, fall off this morning as I was checking on them. I watered them the day I got them and am planning on getting a larger pot within the next couple of weeks.
I am placing them outside for about 3 hours in morning sunlight then I move them to my northwest facing window for indirect light the rest of the day.
If there is anything else that I can do to try and help keep these beauties alive please let me know β£οΈ

@camdenleyoni good morning, itβs my understanding that petunias need direct sunlight all day long and should be planted outside. If your shifting itβs location every day, this could be the problem.
@YammieOf3 I've had them for about 3 days and have just been doing this because I'm planning on having them outside permanently but it's been shifting temperatures majorly in my area right now. (Days of 90s then drops to the 60s out of nowhere)
@camdenleyoni I know what you mean as Iβm not too far from you in Waxahachie. I do think they can handle the shifting of temperatures.
@YammieOf3 Oh yeah, definitely then π
As it is the roses that have been at the house since we moved in have leaves and petals on it as well that are burning, so I'm just trying to figure out what I could do to prevent that on my new babies (on a Budget**)

@camdenleyoni I agree with @YammieOf3. Petunias need to be outside in full sun all day. I planted mine in my little courtyard out back. Sheβs very happy there. If you wish to keep it in a pot, you can do that but keep the plant in one spot so it can acclimate to the changes. Moving it twice a day seems to be causing stress and the plant isnβt getting what it needs. I also see itβs by an A/C which is not good either. They donβt like to be cold so move it away from the direct path of any air flow from your vents.
It's not getting hit by the airflow of the vent at all, theyre actually sitting beside an AC window unit that only sends (cold)air through the front and (hot) back.
As I had said before, I'm only doing the movement because I'm trying to acclimate them to the drastic changes in weather here in the DFW area, I will try to start keeping them outside for longer periods of the day as to keep the direct sunlight, but I don't want them burning and don't have the money for neem oil to prevent it currently, hence the moving them. They're usually left outside noon until about 3-5pm when the sun starts getting less direct in the area and I move them to the window because that's where the sun tends to hit most after that time
