I totally relate — I’m having this exact same issue with a few of my plants right now. I think it’s usually caused by a viral or fungal infection, and the solution is to spray the plant with Neem oil once a week until it clears. You should also separate any affected plants from the rest to keep it from spreading.
Neem oil is very safe, totally organic - made from the Neem tree, and won’t hurt your plants. I use one called Captain Jack’s Neem Oil Max by Bonide, but it can be any brand that lets you skip the step of adding dish soap… you’ll see what I mean.
I know it sucks seeing your plants like that, but it’s totally fixable! Good luck!
