Easter Cactus Care
Easter cacti are fairly easy to keep as houseplants. Here are the main requirements for growing an Easter cactus:

Place your Easter cactus in a spot with dappled sunlight or bright, indirect light.
Prepare well-draining soil and choose a pot with a drainage hole; remember that this cactus would never sit in wet soil in the wild.
Allow the soil to dry out fully in between watering, and then water thoroughly, allowing the extra water to drain out.

Where I live is dry so I water mine roughly once a week to a week and a halfish.
I think you have a Christmas cactus. First photo shows my Easter cactus. Notice it has 4-5 lobes or indentations on each leaf. Second photo shows my Christmas cactus. Notice it has only 3 lobes on each leaf, just like yours. They both require the same care. Also use a hygrometer to check soil moisture levels. You can find an inexpensive one on Amazon. I'm no expert but I hope this works :)
1st - Easter cactus, 2nd - Christmas cactus
my Easter cactus is sitting in wet potting soil. I just took it out. What should I plan it in? Can I just use some dried dirt and mixed perlite and sand in it?
