Ok greg is telling me I need to fertilize my fiddle leaf ...

Ok greg is telling me I need to fertilize my fiddle leaf fig with 691 mg of fertilizer. I have dry fertilizer that I delete with water. How do you equate that I don’t mean to be ignorant on the matter but that’s exactly what I am lol im a new plant mom οΏΌplz help😬😬πŸ€ͺ
14” pot with drainage

I meant to say fertilizer that I dilute with water οΏΌ
@PrizeIvy75 don’t worry, no one follows Greg’s fertilizer instructions exactly. I have no idea what kind of fertilizer it’s referring to in mg so I just use it as my fertilizer reminder and use my own with the dosage my fertilizer recommends.

What kind of fertilizer do you have? It’s usually important to at least cut the dose by half, or a quarter depending on how strong it is. You don’t want to burn your roots with too high a strength.

I fertilize weakly with every watering except during my no-fertilizer winter break.

So for example I use Superthrive foliage pro with an NPK of 9-3-6 and it recommends 1-2tsp per gallon of water once a month, so I do 1/4-1/2 tsp. Per gallon of water with every watering. Or you could just cut that in half and use 1/2-1 tsp per gallon of water once a month if you want to fertilze just one time a month.

You always want to err on the side of too little fertilizer than too much ☺️
@DreamMachin Thank you! I’ll just follow the directions what do think if this stuff? 😬
Stupid fingers sorry *of
@PrizeIvy75 that looks like a mycorrhizal innoculant with beneficial bacteria, so not a fertilizer, but they are good for roots. They make friends and help each other out. I have no used that particular product before though. I can check it out for you more when I’m get back from work this afternoon πŸ‘
@DreamMachine your a rock star ! Thank you
