Please help. Is this plant labeled correctly? Also I was given her from my mother.. she’s found her on clearance and I very much appreciate the gift firstly, my issue is though she’s very top heavy and I’m having a difficult time staking her so she doesn’t flop over. I’m thinking of heading to Home Depot to get some untreated boards or something but idk. Some of her leaves look burnt too, should I chop them off? Since I’ve received her she’s grown two new leavessoi think she’s doing well. It’s just bothering me that’s she’s so floppy lol.

@HumbleRuby26 Hi Joselle! It looks like they are still in the pot they were purchased in, I see a sticker on it, is that correct? If so, I would repot them into a pot just a tad bit larger than that one! I wouldn’t separate them, I would leave them together. Make sure you are soaking the soil until water comes out the bottom and that all of the soil is getting wet. Then do not water it again until the soil is almost completely dry- Philo’s like bright indirect sun, sunlight is good for plants and you gotta feed them or they will starve. Make sure it’s getting enough sun just NOT DIRECT SUNLIGHT. That will burn the leaves up and it will not appreciate that at all! Good Luck!🪴🌿🌸
@Ponytailmom Hi! Thank you for responding. It’s actually a pot I had. So I did repot it into a chunky mix I use. I am watering through and letting it dry out. It’s in terracotta so it happens quicker than usual. I have it sitting in an east facing window. So I’m not going to separate them but do you think I should cut off the leaves that are burnt? I think they’re burnt. When I received the plant they were already like that so I don’t know.
@Malagueña Thank you. Then it’s labeled correctly. They have it as a blushing philodendron. Any ideas on how to make it sturdier in the pot?
@HumbleRuby26 , sometimes I just put a stick in there and leave it up against a stick or gently with cloth tied to a stick till its rooted well
