Hoping for flowers on my akebi vines
My two akebi chocolate vines have intertwined. Hoping for some flowers if not fruit! P.S. Why does Greg often say edible plants are toxic? Lemongrass is sold in the grocery; obviously this is non-toxic (just 1 example)

Hey Colin! Right now toxicity info is combined for humans and pets. Lots of plants we use for cooking are toxic to pets due to essential oils or other compounds (garlic, avocado, mint, lavender, etc.)
We’ve got an update coming that will tease these apart so you’ll know which plants are safe for you, and which can be dangerous to pets!
Toxicity is a nuanced topic, for example potatoes are obviously fine to eat but the leaves and stems of a potato plant can be deadly. We’ll have all this kinda nuance in the new guides 😁
