Is my Knockout Red Rose dead?

hi this is how my plant used to look like. ive been watering it every time the soil dries but is it dead?

): I'm sorry. It looks pretty dead - BUT they do have a dormant "ugly" period in the winter. Roses are really outside plants.

If you want to really know, you should pull it from its pot and take a look at the roots. The roots will tell you if it's time for the compost pile.
