Tomato bumpy and curling???
Does anybody know why my tomato plants suddenly started curling their lower leaves and are bumpy on the underside?
First time tomato grower, all advice hugely appreciated! ðŸ’žðŸŒą #tomato #NewPlantMom #

Looks like it could be edema, which happens when a plant takes in water faster than it can transpire it (basically a plant's version of perspiring). It causes leaf cells to swell and burst, leading to bumps or blisters. It's typically a sign of overwatering, or the soil not drying out enough between waterings. Make sure to always check the soil first before watering to ensure it's sufficiently dried out, since overwatering can lead to leaf drop and root rot on your tomato plant.
Thanks so much! I will leave it to dry out for a bit 🌞
