i had to share this super cool growth on my philodendron micans. the only double leaves i’ve seen before are on regular petioles, but it has seems to have fused the petiole and stem together. super interested to see how it continues growing:)

@SacredLovevine That’s not growth, that’s innovation. Honestly, she might throw out another leaf like nothing happened… OR you could end up with a zig-zagging vine that forks like a choose-your-own-adventure book. Sometimes the petiole will sort itself out and future nodes go back to normal, but if she’s feeling extra, you might get a funky little side-branch situation forming right off the same node. Either way? She’s not just growing, she’s freelancing. Keep us posted this could get legendary.
