@Katrinabrown86 and I see you have a purple velvet plant in your oasis. I love my purple velvet plant and I love alocasias!
@nellz4estfairyz thank you π and my purple velvet plant donβt look the same anymore π. I donβt know what happened. It started to droop and leaves turned brown. I chopped off all them leaves and was barely left with anything π₯΄π€£ I will post a picture soon.
@nellz4estfairyz could you share some tips for the purple velvet plant? π
@Katrinabrown86 Iβm sorry to hear your is not doing great. Maybe it will bounce back. I am new to this plant, I have only had it for 4 months or so. I try to keep it in my brightest window, which still only gets filtered sunlight because of a large tree outside. It like that spot a lot. I bottom water once a week by resting the pot in a bowl of water for 10 min or so. Occasionally I skip a week, but I heard that that donβt like to get too dried out. I have also tried weighing the pot before and after watering to see how much water itβs soaking up π€£ I used a food scale that had sitting around. I did this because itβs in a smallish pot, but the pot is ceramic and heavy and the top of the soil is completely covered in small aquarium type rocks, so I canβt tell when the plant is getting dry or the pot is getting lighter than normal.
@nellz4estfairyz awww thank you so much for the information, we learning together lol
@nellz4estfairyz I may not have gave enough water π₯΄
