Is my Mexican fence-post cactus happy?

Is this a happy cactus? Baby stem is getting big. Do I just leave them be? Help!

@JuliesOasis It looks like your cactus is having a growth spurt party with that adorable baby stem getting big and all. You're doing something right, for sure! Now, let's tackle the big question: to separate or not to separate? Leaving Them Be: If your cactus duo is happily coexisting without any signs of crowding or stress, you can totally let them continue their growing adventure together. Sometimes, cacti are best buds when they're sharing space. Separation Celebration: On the other hand, if you notice one cactus shading out the other or if their growth patterns start looking a bit tangled, it might be time for a separation. Give each one its own pot to spread its roots and grow without any sibling rivalry. Check the Roots: If you're leaning toward separating, gently lift the cacti from their pot and take a peek at the roots. If they're starting to tangle or look crowded, it's a green light for separation. Transplant TLC: Whether you're leaving them together or going for the separation option, consider repotting them into fresh soil. It's like giving them a comfy new home to continue their growth journey. Remember, you're the ultimate cactus caretaker, and your green thumb instincts will guide you in the right direction. Whether they stay buddies or venture out on their own, your cactus crew is lucky to have you watching over their growth story good luck!
