Added some succulents to my plant collections

Added some succulents to my plant collections
@GorgeousAtom14 Very nice collection! Quick question are all the plants in the hanging basket drought tolerant and requiring the same amount of light?
@Ms.Persnickety yes they are all suppose to be drought tolerant and needs at least 4 to 6 hours of sunlight I have a perfect west facing window to place them for the sun
@GorgeousAtom14 That sounds great, very lovely arrangement 🀩πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ€©
@Ms.Persnickety thank you! I love succulents and was so glad to finally get a good bunch of them I have some donkey tails coming in a few days and will post them!
@GorgeousAtom14 That sounds exciting looking forward to see the pictures!
@Ms.Persnickety great! I sent you a follow so maybe you will see them more quickly. I’m new to this app and didn’t know it was a thing for people who loves to plant stuff! 😊
@GorgeousAtom14 Welcome to the Greg Community, besides individual following you can also look at hashtags and see if any of them sound interesting to you. Just click on the # icon and a bunch of them will pop up and you can see which ones would be of interest to you! Or if you have specific questions you can add certain hashtags that will create more interest and you get a great response, maybe πŸ€”
Thank you so much!
Hi Christopher, just a heads up regarding your basket arrangement. Everything will be ok potted together in terms of light and watering frequency *except* the Tradescantia Nanouk (the pink leafed one). While somewhat succulent-like in terms of drought tolerance (thick stems & leaves store a lot of water), it's not nearly as drought tolerant as the others, and needs far less direct sunlight. If you cater to the succulents, the Nanouk will suffer from underwatering and sunburn. If you cater to the Nanouk, the succulents will suffer from overwatering and inadequate sunlight. Someone is going to lose in the equation, so I'd highly recommend potting the Nanouk by itself. They do great in succulent/cacti soil with extra perlite mixed in. For light, an east-facing window is a great spot for them because it only gets direct sun in the AM (gentler than afternoon sun). Water when the soil is completely dry, but don't let it stay dry for extended periods of time. Also, Nanouks are notorious for getting brown spots due to water sitting on the leaves and poor airflow (as you can already see on yours). The only remedy I've found is bottom watering. Since I started doing this, no more brown spots ☺️
@stephongreg thank you for the information! I was wandering why they put those in the baskets with the other succulents. I got two other planting pots yesterday and plan on moving them by their self.
@GorgeousAtom14 honestly, most of the people who put together these arrangements aren't very knowledgeable on plant care. Their main objective is "does it look pretty?", because customers buy arrangements that look nice. Whether or not certain plants should be potted together due to different light or water requirements isn't as much of a concern. By the time that turns into an issue, the customer will have already handed over the money πŸ˜›

Ok, that's enough cynical ranting for today! Lol πŸ€ͺ
@stephongreg yep absolutely correct I have some things coming and more succulent potting soil and going to transfer them over
