As mentioned, I once owned many plants, and life-altering situations occurred where I had to let them go. One had been cared for, for the past 3 years by my boyfriend's Mom. We were reunited today. He was always a happy plant, and at the time was about 1/4th his current size.
Welcome back, Terry. The emotional connection I have to this one is strong. He's one of the very few things that remain of my former life. #moneytree #plantsmakepeoplehappy

Aw, welcome back Terry! How wonderful that you didnβt lose him forever π₯°
I, too, have been rebuilding the collection i once had. I only have a handful of plants that made it with me through the hard times, and I cherish them. Most of my current collection isnβt older than a year or two.
Yay for Terry! π₯³

@DreamMachine It's just incredible the kind of bond that can be built with a plant over time, especially if they were around during trying times. I'm glad that you had some of yours remain with you as well - the rebuild might be slow (it certainly has been for me!) but it's progress nonetheless, just like with ourselves π
@Alucen π― Yes! And the things they teach you, like patience, forgiveness, and self care. π₯°π§π§ββοΈ
@DreamMachine Absolutely. And resilience, which is something I feel like I've had to try and be for a long time.
@Alucen oh yes! Thatβs an important one π π
