my grandfather gave me this chinese money plant that he’s had for a long time about a month ago, and since then it’s lots like 75% of its leaves. it’s so crazy! I noticed some were falling off the day he gave it to be but it’s been non stop. is there anything I can do about it? The picture of it on its plant profile is a few days after i got it. #ChineseMoneyPlant
3ft to light, indirect
8” pot with drainage
Last watered 3 days ago
@StromantheSlave That’s so special to get a plant from your grandfather! πŸ₯° I’m wondering about its water and light situation. It says it’s been 12 days since you watered it. If its soil is completely dry, you’ll definitely want to give it a good drink and dump out any water that drains out the bottom. Even with proper water, I’ve found that mine has gotten a little puny when it’s not getting enough bright light. So maybe getting it a bit closer to a window would be worth a try too. β˜€οΈ
@debbiedo thank you! it’s about 3 feet from a northeast window. maybe i’ll move it to our southwest window hahaha. and it got a good drink as i was typing the post out!
@StromantheSlave I’d suggest moving it just a little bit each day so that it can adapt and isn’t shocked by the quick change πŸ‘πŸ»
Here’s mine near a west window with some plants dappling the sun a bit β˜ΊοΈβ˜€οΈ
@debbiedo it’s very pretty!
@Shells_Garden Thanks Michelle!
I suggest repotting it. 8in is too big I think. They like to dry out just a little between watering imo. I would get them closer to light and closer together in a well draining mix!! They will bouce back! Mine sure has!
