@Shells_Garden , when the live oak trees get very old, their trunks and branches grow across the ground. 
WOW!! 🤯🤩 I only recently learned the difference between “live oaks” and the oak trees that live in my area (pacific northwest). Amazing! If only we could hear that tree’s stories!!

@Malagueña Looks like a tree out of a hunted forest, my childhood fairy tales come to mind!
@Ms.Persnickety There are many old growth trees in that area. They are like silent sentinels .
