@AwakeJade13 No, your plant should not stay permanently trapped inside a sealed glass container. While stores use glass covers or domes to keep humidity high during shipping, a completely enclosed glass jar traps stagnant air, lacks proper airflow, and can easily overheat in the sun, which cooks and kills carnivorous plants. Water: Use only distilled water, rainwater, or reverse osmosis water. Never use tap water because its minerals and salts will burn and kill the roots. Keep the soil constantly damp like a wrung-out sponge. Light: Place the plant in very bright, indirect light or a sunny windowsill. Avoid hot, direct sun hitting the glass container if you keep it near a window, as it acts like a magnifying glass and burns the leaves.Soil: Use a nutrient-free mix of 50% sphagnum peat moss and 50% perlite or coarse sand. Never use standard potting soil or any soil with added fertilizers. Feeding: Do not use fertilizer. The plant gets its food by catching its own insects. If kept strictly indoors where it cannot catch bugs, you can feed it a tiny insect or a small piece of dried cricket once a month.
