Nerve plant propagation excitement!

#propogationstation😁 One of my #nerveplant guys outgrew their terrarium a bit so it's time for it to give birth to a baby. And meanwhile I'll start looking for a new container for another terrariumπŸ«™πŸ₯° #fittonia #plantsmakepeoplehappy
2ft to light, indirect
2” pot without drainage
Last watered 5 months ago
I’m so jelly of your fittonias. Mines so crispy no matter what I do. I just got a jar I might convert to a terrarium. Thanks for the Inspo. If you have any tips please send them my way!!
@Jilliebeanstalk I know they love humidity and access to bright light if possible. I also water them as soon as the top of soil is dry
Thank you. I do all that, I think the terrarium is key. My house is t the moistest.
@Jilliebeanstalk from my experience fittonias enjoy high humidity and bright indirect light. So I try not to let the soil dry out (I almost never need to water those in my closed terrariums) and keep them near the north-facing window. And they're doing fine!
@lyapiness I will mimic what you’re doing. Thanks again. I’ll check back in a month
@Jilliebeanstalk good luck! Looking forward to seeing your happy fittonias 😊
I didn’t know I could propagate fittonia in water. I have one that has went lil haywire, not upright anymore.
@NewSkimmia what a pretty one you have!
I've never propagated fittonias like that either, so it's kind of an experiment:)
Mine like to lie down too😁 so maybe this is how they are. I turn them from time to time to straighten a bit
@lyapiness I turn too, I’m running out of places to sit. I’ve moved to covered screened in porch with less light and last few weeks seems happier.
@NewSkimmia wow I love that!!!
@Jilliebeanstalk 😊
