here are the strawberry guava and malabar plums i found today! i’m a really big fan of the #MalabarPlum fruits! a little tart, very soft and juicy and i’m excited to germinate the seed inside this stone!(photo one)
i’m about to crack open one of these #StrawberryGuava fruits as well to taste and to get the seeds

Ooh 😯 I’ve never heard of these, do you eat them straight like grapes? They look like they’d pop with juice!
both of them yep! the guava has largeish seeds that people either discard or just swallow either is fine and the plum situation has a fairly large stone comparatively to the rest of the fruit. both have edible skin that’s a little more tart than the flesh. but also so super juicy! the ripe plums came off the branch readily and apparently people like pickling the unripe fruits! i’m so excited that i found a patch i could reach! i’m seriously going to try everything with them and even found a mocktail recipe already @itsjordan attached are the photos of the fruits on the trees from my previous post
@FicusOnTheGood Huh! I’m not very adventurous when it comes to trying fruits because I’m usually iffy about their textures and seeds, but that is neat. Those have some funny shapes too, I’m sure there’s tons of fun recipes to be made with them. I think the most common one I ever hear with plums is a crumble or cobbler… mocktail is fun πŸ€”πŸ€”

I just did a quick search to see what things people even do with plums, and the second commenter of this post (https://www.quora.com/What-can-I-do-with-plums-besides-making-jam ) included a list of recipes with photos… Plum upside down cake? Shrimp and plum kebabs? Who knew all the possibilities out there!
Wow, it sounds like you like in paradise! πŸ˜‰πŸ˜ I’ve never even heard of those fruits, but they sound delicious.
@itsjordan right? i saw someone did a jackfruit and malabar plum salad that sounds amazing
