Gnat nix: the miracle cure that's gone
EDIT: This product is no longer available. π’π’π’π’π’π’π’π’ I just answered a question about fungus gnats and I wanted to add a photo of the product I recommended. Now I canβt find the post. Grrrβ¦. Anyway, as far as Iβm concerned this is the miracle cure. 2-3 weeks and every gnat is gone. https://www.planetnatural.com/product/gnat-nix/ #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #
Youβve reminded me Iβve seen a few stray gnats recently. This is what I use (for my Aussie friends) itβs absolutely amazing, used it last year and didnβt see another gnat. Itβs also a top dressing, Iβve acquired a lot more plants since last summer so Iβm not surprised I have to bust it out again π
I should probably do it tonight π₯² (lazy bones π¦΄)
@Natural Abdolutrly. I used it on my plants when I had gnats and I never got them again. Plus, you might need to add a bit more to some of your pots over time, but for the most part you only do it once.
@ManyLime I loved it! If you donβt like the white color you can put a top coat of gravel or something .
@HoyaAddict Itβs so easy to use and it doesnβt hurt the plants at all.
@HoyaAddict Dounds pretty much the same.
@TruthfulApricot Yeah I love it and it looks great too π
@clairsheart No. itβs a top cover that the gnats canβt go through. You cover your soil with it to form a barrier.
@ManyLime Phooey! Thatβs a shame! It was like magic.
EDIT: This product is no longer available. I didnβt know. Itβs a shame. π’π’π’ @ManyLime @Vjunc @AwesomePlants @Beeps @clairsheart
@Steff Gnat Nix works by preventing the larvae from emerging and they die since they canβt. The adults donβt die because of the barrier, but they are unable to reproduce. They have a lifespan of only a couple of weeks so when they die without progeny there are no more left. It doesnβt directly kill them, but it does take care of the problem. It handled my infestation very quickly. Maybe the product you were told about would be similar. π
