It's fungal mycelium.

I think it is some kind of fungus growing on top of your plant. I would wipe it off. It competes for the Sunlight.

@SvelteKingfern I just cut that one leaf off but thank you! I believe this was it! Definitely a type of fungus

For the future. This fungus was growing on the surface; no need to cut off the leaf. Fungus spores are in millions around us. Some germinate, some don't. We need to get used to the fact LOL.
