Regretting my online fern purchase

Newbie here πŸ‘‹πŸΎ So I had this same fern (crispy wave fern or birds nest fern) a few years ago and totally neglected it. Laverne was my first ever plant and I wasn’t worthy of her πŸ’” But, I’m reinvigorated to start my plant journey so I bought this little number online. I’m kind of regretting it now because of how she came. Maybe I should’ve just bought her in person instead. I’m sure all online vendors aren’t created equal though. Any advice on the browning spots? I cut a few of the leaves that were totally brown but I’m not sure if it was the right thing to do πŸ˜¬πŸ™ˆ #Fern #CrispyWaveFern #BirdsNestFern

Eventually they’ll be all new leaves. I have the same issue with a campio birds nest fern. This other one I have won’t grow anything new and it won’t die either. It’s just annoying me constantly. I’m thinking of potting it in sand and putting it in my brothers bearded dragons tank 🀭
β€œβ€¦Won’t grow anything new and it won’t die either.” πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Ok so I’ll be patient. I definitely wasn’t willing to give up yet but I was hopeful for some words of advice or encouragement. Especially since the other one (Laverne πŸ™πŸΎπŸ₯Ί) grew so quickly and nicely. But I’m learning that all plants, even in the same environment and watering/light/soil conditions, may not fare the same. I do see some new growth so I’ll be patient and stay on top of watering. Thanks for your input. And the laugh πŸ˜‚
