I got this terrarium around november and I keep it watered and all, but I’m just curious if anyone has any tips for growth or anything I can add for some more color, thanks ! #Terrarium
8ft to light, indirect
4” pot without drainage
Last watered 4 weeks ago
Could you add a clearer photo? Ngl the resolution on the card's photo isn't helping
@bunnysoasis hi Janette. Are you keeping the lid open or closed? Fittonia, peperomia, begonias Joseph’s coat varieties and ferns make good terrarium plants.
@YammieOf3 i open it sometimes and close it sometimes, i don’t really know which is the best
@bunnysoasis i'm seeing a waterline where the moss is at? Almost as if the moss is barely submerged in water, like an aquatic plant. At best you can do aquatics then. Try going to a reputable aquarium store [NOT a pet shop, and NOT PetCo or PetSmart if you're in the US], and find something called Alternanthera reineckii 'Mini'. If you're willing to spend and don't mind the plant looking like sh!t for a the first week, Cryptocoryne sp. 'Flamingo' [also 'Pink Panther', 'Pink Flamingo' or just 'Pink'] is a good one. For something that gives lovely blooms try Pogostemon, in particular P.erectus/deccanensis or P.helferi, or any small Anubias varieties [Bucephalandra if you wanna spend]. If you want to a grassy plant Eleocharis are good, but E.accicularis 'Mini' and E.pusilla/pumilla will stay small.
@bunnysoasis I would recommend that you keep it closed. But keep a close eye on it so you can see what works best. I keep all of my terrariums closed unless put a tall plant in it.
