@Saturn572 Sorry I was at HEB too! 😁 Did you really buy an orchid? They aren't the easiest beginner plant but we'll do our best to make sure you keep it happy 💚🙌 Ok quick orchid lesson ☺️ Orchids are epiphytes which means that they grow on tree trunks. They aren't parasitic meaning they take from other plants they just grow on them and use the tree as support structure. Therefore, they aren't planted in regular soil. They use something called Orchid Bark which is broken up pieces of wood and they take moisture from the air with their aerial roots as well as from the wet bark and moss. If you can, take a picture of it so I can see if there is a plastic insert pot that fits inside the ceramic pot it's in currently. If there is then you would take the inner plastic orchid pot out of the ceramic pot to bottom water it. I'm getting a head of myself.
