Im totally losing it guys!!! Between paxking, moving & sitting w/my grandschildren, i havent had time to get my new larger plants stand built so all plants r here at new house now and were on covered porch. I moved who i thought should have more direcr light to southerly side in afternoon and come watering time, i noticed many who i โthoughtโ were so versatile were beginning to get sunburned so immediately (w/the help of my precioys 3 yr old grandson) moved them all out of direct light . Once we were done watering, i let him spray them in the shade like a sprinkle would be of rain. Please tell me that one afternoon isnt enough stress to hurt them!!! Ive dealt w/thrips, frozen shipped plants & just poorly established plabts and havent lost a one but if i did any harm in one day of mid70โs Spring weather in Pgh., i will just never be the same cause i gotta tell ya, i surely didnt see this coming!!! If someone can give me some assurance that i have not committed platacide, i may be able to sleep ronight but going forward theyre all only getring the morning sun and pothos, philos (incl all Monsteras) r staying just out of sun until i can get this plant stand finally put together!! Sorry for all the typos but no glasses and sun-blind so pls tell me this has happened to some other unfortunate soul & it all turned out ok. Its hard to believe theres another simpleton like me put there but for the sake of my plants i sure hope there is!! My BofP & Yucca r only ones who seem totally unphased. Ill be awaiting my penance and atonement for totally turning odf brain during this move!!!!

@BuffCaperspurge I have totally accidentally done this too, but not to the extent that they didnโt bounce back eventually. Since I know you to be an experienced and knowledgeable plant person Iโm sure you caught them in time! Keeping them in the shade outdoors will be plenty while they recover and break, and get some sprinkles with the hose ๐
@stephongreg tx Steph! I am totally aware of this but i had ZERO cooperarion in the moving & care of my plants during this time so i had to take what i got. My diabilities dont allow me to do much, not to mention prepare & move plants that weigh north of 50 lb. I have 81 plants that i have created into a beautiful mix of thriving growth, healthy & beautiful. The other day as we moved plants in bunches, already needing watering because u cant water Majesty palms, 6 ft BofP & then move in 2-3 days! I only moved about 5 min from where we lived before & yesterday wss the first time my plants ever were watered by tap water & no SuperThrive added. Trust me that i took great pride in my plants, esp the ones i received already needing lifesaving care. My plants r an extension of me & i think when people see the care ive put into them & all the research i have done, its obvious i have always done my best. The issue was i have been married for 45 yrs to someone who begrudgingly โallowsโ their existence so ur preaching to the choir, trust me. Also when i say that ive done my best in order to keep peace in the family & all during this havent taken a day off to prepare to move without caring for my 3 yr old & 3 mo old grandchildren so i have to be realistic in all my demands. I just simply wanted to know if there was anything beyond what my knowledge base is that would help to alleviate one afternoon of sun. My plants have been under 12 hr/day under grow lights, most have their own, my large plants have several large each so i am just very upset that this happened & just wanted any tips available from anyone who had dealt w/this. Again it was one afternoons sun in Pgh, PA! Not the coastal beach community u may think. Thats all i was asking for, beyond that i know how to care for my plabts, potential stress & acclimating from indoors to out & back. I, sadly didnt have that option & did the best i could in my situation. Sorry for the marathon response but many folks know what my plants mean to me & that when left to my own devices, i can do a decent job at it. I have never lost a plant, tho it couldve easily happened ; however i have propped many & given for gifts so i just needed a piece of advice if there were anything i could do proactively. I am seeing signs that the sun is โgettingโ my Monsteras & palms & judt wanted to fix it if there was one or i needed one. Ive made the changes necessary immediately wheny granchildren were napping so i dont need any help for future, just anything i could or should do to keep the stress of the move, the sun, new home, etc at bay. I have about 20 overdue for repotting that i am waiting at least til mid-summer simply to allow the stress i knew i was creating without any potential burning is all i was after. Since ive not dealt w/this, by choice, i didnt know if there was anything proactively i could do and thats the entire story (i am sure ur happy about that!!) lol
@BuffCaperspurge I gotcha ๐ฅฐ It seems you and @MusicalRedmint both were looking for 100 lashings today! (You asked for penance and atonement, she asked for a good kicking lol ๐). Sorry to say I can't oblige either of you, because the only thing you're guilty of is caring about your beloved plants. And as every parent knows, that's far more important than making the occasional (inevitable) mistake. After all, we're only human! Fortunately our plants are much more likely to forgive us than our human children ๐โฅ๏ธ
@DreamMachine Roger, so far i have done exactly as u said so i feel better aboyt myself!! Man i didnt think it was as warm as it was as i tried to attend to everthing & everyone!! I let my grandson use the hpse as if it was a light rain & told him not to cross my imaginary line i made for him. Everyone also got their filtered water today & SuperThrive & they look better already!!
@stephongreg thanks Steph!! I really needed a laugh like that today!! Esp when my husband thinks its funny my plants were burned or else he has a horrible sense of humor (after 40 yrs im over it)!! Lol. Moving sucks!!! I saidy next move will be im a body bag!!!! Lol PS. Thats y we have grandchildren!!! Lol
@BuffCaperspurge good with plants AND kids! Iโm smiling at your game-like instructions for your grandson, that is too cute! ๐ฅฐ
