My mom waters her outdoor plants in the early morning but my grandma watered hers in the evening, she said they’d get burnt if watered in the mornings. So I’ve been watering my current outdoor plants after the sun sets. Which is the right way to do it? I’m in New Orleans if that makes a difference.
I water some before sun comes up and if a really hot day I give a little in evening after sun is going down. All are doing great.
I always heard you water in the morning so they have time to dry.
There’s no right way for everyone. I water in the early mornings, because they have more time to dry, and sometimes I water in the evenings if they need it. It is actually a myth that water droplets on leaves will burn them. They do not act like a magnifying glass. So water whenever you want to!
