Should I remove the dried out branch off of this variegated graptoveria or is it getting nutrients from it in order to start rooting? #planthelp #Graptoveria #Echeveria

@ZenfrogZero Well you can remove it because if the branch is totally dried out it wonβt come back! But you can compost the branch and when itβs completely decomposed you can add that material into the soil where it helps with the Soil structure and organic matter.
@ZenfrogZero Yes, a dried-out Graptoveria branch can provide nutrients for plants, but generally only after it has decomposed or been composted. While they are not a high-nutrient source, dried succulent biomass acts as a "green" or "brown" composting material (depending on how woody it is) that contributes to soil structure and organic matter.
@Ms.Persnickety So should I remove it or keep it? I feel like you answered yes to both of my questions. π
@Ms.Persnickety Ohh okay, thanks so much! That helps a lot! π
