Okay I want peoples opinions: does my English Ivy look like it’s dying yet? I don’t think so but it’s been shedding leaves like crazy due to spider mites. I’ve been doing treatments on it that thankfully have eliminated the majority of spider mites, however at this point it’s lost half of its original leaves. So does this look like it can recover? #EnglishIvy #spidermites #plantcare
8ft to light, indirect
4” pot with drainage

Oo variegated English ivy!! (So cool!) If the spider mites are eradicated and 110% gone, the best thing to do since it really doesn’t look too bad is to put it by a sunny window to gets lots of indirect light. (Otherwise give it its own window or grow light to prevent spread of the buggies). Eventually you can trim new newgrowth to get more growth points. Or, there’s cloning paste which I’ve heard that people can use to active spent growth points where leaves used to be. I’m not sure if it works but it sounds really cool! In conclusion: if I didn’t know it lost half its leaves, I’d say it is a very healthy plant. Just needs some good old sun and water 💚
From my experience with spider mites it always looks worse before it gets better. I had about 15 plants infested and only lost 1. I think it looks really well for having pests!
@GrowMyPretties Tysm!! I’ll definitely take your advice. I’ve got a bright spot near a window I can put it
@NoblyHoya thanks!! That’s really reassuring lol
