Plant mail!! 💌 Got my Black Magic (Arabian Sunset) and Hallows Eve begonias! 👻🎃 Steve’s Leaves did a great job packing them; I was seriously impressed, especially for begonias. Now they are in quarantine. #Begonia #PlantMail

@planthoe40 you’d be surprised!! They are only in the clear plastic jail for quarantine. I was always scared of begonias but mine do great in ambient humidity here in NYC. I started with canes (maculata, pink benigo), then when I realized how great they did, I dipped my toe in with a hybrid one (Vampire Slayer), and that thing has been flowering and popping off. So I went with more hybrids. There are definitely some very thin-leafed begonias that need higher humidity, but in my experience, the canes and hybrids have been very adaptable. And they come very smawl too. 🥺 haha I’m an enabler.
@planthoe40 oh my!! lol Ive had that happen before; sometimes you just gotta try again! @Shells_Garden they’re beautiful!! I’ve never heard of orange chocolate before! I’ve been loving orange plants lately. Thank you @MariansOasis @MamaLinne @CutePolypremum I was shocked at how good of condition they arrived in, considering they trucked from 94-degree Texas!

Gorgeous! The smaller one looks so much like a Peter Piper begonia; but who knows what any of those names are? Begonias can cross so much, I’m always confused 😂 I think the Peter Piper is just lighter? They are gorgeous though! I love the big one’s contrast; and it’s hilarious they are on a clear square quarantine zone. Ha ha ha 😂 🤣 I love it 🥰
@Idplantthat wow the Peter Piper is so pretty!!! They do look so similar, and I agree - there’s so many hybrids nowadays, it’s hard to tell any two apart.
