Ignore the app's contradictions!! Dieffenbachia should NOT be in direct sun, it will burn their leaves. They still need bright light, so no more than 3 feet from a window. The app has many issues, inconsistent advice is definitely one of the more problematic ones. If you ever come across contradictory info on here, I'd recommend Googling "best light for ____" for clarification 😊👍
@Bee_Balmer you're more than welcome to email them, but they definitely already know about it 😛 I've been trying for years to get inaccuracies, typos, etc. fixed. Right now they have a pretty serious staffing shortage, plus app glitches affecting its usability on a massive scale, so I'm not sure they're prioritizing things like contradictory statements about a plant's light needs. But hey, it's worth a shot! 🤪
