I just got this arrowhead and love it! It looks super healthy… but I’m wondering if it needs to be repotted. #ArrowheadPlant

Beautiful syngonium!! It looks πŸ‘€ very healthy πŸ™Œ. There’s a couple of ways to know if it’s time for an β€œup” pot. Traditionally, every couple of years or when roots are growing out of the bottom of the pot, it’s time to repot (same size pot, new soil) or up pot (bigger pot). However that’s not always true & I’ve found especially with my syngoniums that they like to head out of the bottom of the pot all the time! And often within months of being up-potted. If roots are coming out the bottom check if it’s just some random roots or is it root bound & roots are circling around inside the pot? If it’s a few and not too long after a potting then I just tuck those escapees back into the pot with maybe a little additional soil on the bottom. If most of the roots are πŸŒ€ spiraling πŸŒ€ then it’s probably time for a bigger pot. Only go an inch or two bigger than the root ball. Any larger will be too much water & soil for the plant to process. My syngoniums have been happier a bit cozy in their pots so I’m not quick to change things up. If you think it’s time for fresh soil in same pot or time to go up a size you can do that with syngos any time of year. They are hardy and don’t go dormant during the winter. Enjoy your new beauty! πŸ₯°
