Have you ever planted a regular potato?? The plant that grows are really big and robust and crazy looking !!! By looking at the foliage you’d never guess it’s an actual potato plant!! My son when he was little planted a bunch in the back yard.. I thought they were weeds growing.. one day I pulled one up and bingo!! Potatoes! That’s when he told me he planted them lol!!!

The potato foliage is two feet or more in height and about same as wide. Big strong stems. I believe you wait until it finishes blooming to pull up!!
