Seems like every week I get a new 3 foot leaf emerge from my Blue Java. Certainly 9 to 10 days. This tree is in overdrive! How is this thing growing so fast? Georgia heat, well draining soil, good fertilization.

I took yours and Nadia's advice on the fertilizer, drainage, soil etc. and close care and it's really paid off.

@WormWarriorFarm oh I love that! I can only give the advice; you absolutely did the rest. 🥰 Nadia is definitely a wealth of knowledge and great grower to ask advice from. Your banana does look so gorgeous though! I’m not sure if I said this last time, but when your bananas start to get an abundance of leaves, you can clip them and mulch them into your other bananas 🍌 or even your other plants. It gives a giant boost of potassium and calcium. I recently just introduced my plants to Hydroguard https://a.co/d/03tTO7bI to help with roots. I doubt you need it right now but just food for thought. Ooh! 😲 Keep this in the back of your mind for when your banana fruits. Banana fruit is highly toxic and will burn your skin when harvesting; wear gloves 🧤 and make sure to wash with gloves at first. The sap is highly toxic and painful. Just things to know with bananas. 🍌 ☺️ They are also actually considered a berry and are in the same family as raspberries. They are actually far from a tree and what makes those stocks is all leaves. 🥰 I do a lot of research on plants and animals. I have a very curious mind 🤣 Please keep me posted, I love 💕 seeing the updates and I don’t see a lot of people growing bananas.. but they have so many fun benefits. You can also cook meats or smoke meats in those leaves makes an incredible flavor. 🥰
