Wanted to share some progress pics of my Sedum Adolphi 'Firestorm', which I purchased in Jan '24. A lot of people don't realize just how slow growing many succulents are. Watching them for signs of new growth is akin to watching paint dry 😂

As you can see from the pics, it's produced a few offsets, but the main rosette is still about the same size after 2.5 years. For the last 2 years, it's been 8-10" under decent-strength, full-spectrum grow lights. I water it once a month on average. Same pot/soil, no fertilizer. When people talk about plants that "thrive on neglect", this is the kind of plant they're talking about 😜

If you're new to plants (or just tend to be impatient lol) and want something that will reward you with visible, tangible growth in a short period of time, succulents might not be the best choice. But for those willing to invest the time, you'll be rewarded with something equally as gratifying ðŸĨ°
