My bunny ears cactus is droopy - has this happened to oth...

Has anybody experienced this with this plant or similar cacti before?

Wondering if I just need to give it a brace. I don’t think I’m over-watering and there aren’t signs of root rot.

Maybe under-watering and it can’t stay turgid?

Can you carefully poke the base of it? It kind of looks like it might be mushy
I would definitely examine the base (with gloves!) it’s looking a bit suspect. If it’s mushy, there’s still a chance to save the β€œears” by chopping them, letting them callous and replanting. Good luck!
@minka @DsPlants thank you! The base isn’t too squishy, I think it might just be stained brown from the soil. Good to know this isn’t expected though. When I’m back home I’ll try taking a closer look beneath the soil to see how it’s looking.
I have no good advice. I had a tiny one and it flipped over and shriveled up and went to the giant compost bin in the sky.

It's okay because it made room for another plant. Survival of the fittest!
@DsPlants that’s what I did too, though I didn’t really give it a chance to have it callous over before I replanted. It’s doing well now!
