Gifted skull pots and new hoyas

These little skull pots were gifted to me at Christmas by a sweet girl my husband and I have taken under our wings. (Anyone military affiliated knows what it's like to be far from home, often alone.) She comes to us as her "substitute parents," and showed up over the holidays with these, saying "it's three of your favorite things: plants, skulls and not seeing, saying or hearing sh!t." So today i got two new Hoyas and repotted one I already had! So excited to add these guys to my "creepy" section!

Oh I’m so proud of you! What a nice reward for all you do. And ummmm I WANNA SEE THE CREEPY SECTION!!!!!
@ShadesofGreen 😍😍 I second that, @RealSimpleMama I wanna see the creepy section too!
I love those pots omg! Time to look for them online hahaha
I'll grab a photo when I've got some daylight πŸ€— It's changed so many times but these live near my "cemerarium"!
@RealSimpleMama and @CaffeinatedFern here ya go!! I bought a raven ZZ for the shelf, but she got too tall, so I'm currently looking for a new dark leafed shorter friend for this area. In the meantime, the skulls live with a few others, and my cemerarium ❣️
I recently moved this into a taller terrarium but the layout is the same ❣️
GAH I LOVE IT!!!! I love the perfect balance of adorable and morbid 🀣
@RealSimpleMama I love a bit of the "macabre!" There are skulls in our living room too, much to my husband's despair 🀣 but I've always had a bit of the flair for the darker side of things and he just goes with it
@ShadesofGreen I love it! I think I like morbid and macabre when it has something colorful or totally the opposite - like a skull with a plant in it is so ironic! I want a plague mask that’s painted in a Dia de Los Muertos style. Morbid and beautiful and bright!
@RealSimpleMama I try to do elegant and macabre. Our living room has yoga skeletons with my "library". Makes it feel dark but classy 🀣 as classy as skeletons can be, I guess!
@ShadesofGreen lol! I think that’s fantastic. I love the beauty of death with the living and like you’ve done, so many cool ways to display it! Thanks so much for sharing πŸ•·οΈπŸŒ±πŸ’€
@ShadesofGreen yay, your posted pics!!! I love it!!! Your cemerarium is so clever!! I understand the dark/classy vibe!
To take the place of the raven zz, did you see the plant @jaysjungle posted, last night(maybe that was when)? It’s a lovely dark, dark green. I can’t remember the name of it, so I’ll just tag you on that post.
@CaffeinatedFern I'll be looking for it!!! Thank you!! πŸ€—πŸ€—
