My Bess Bates’ leaf growth stalled this past month. I checked how rooting was going and found the energy vampire—Baby Bates!

It's fine, just let it do its thing. One thing that stood out is your plant card says it's in a north-facing window, is that correct? If so, it won't be getting enough light. A west or south facing window where it can get at least 4+ hours of direct sun is ideal. If you don't have one, you'll need strong grow lights for it to thrive.
@Minadorae that is a cool looking echeveria! I’ve never been great with echeveria, BUT I’m trying again! 🤪 I ordered some neat looking ones in the mail. So hoping I can care for them properly.
@stephonicle for sure! It sits 8” under a full spectrum (CRI 95+) grow light that runs 16 hrs/day. My other echeveria have responded well to the same light, and I’m keeping an eye out for etiolation or color loss as early warnings.
@Minadorae gotcha, thanks for clarifying! There's an option under plant settings for grow lights, if the app thinks it's only getting indirect light it will suggest watering less often 😉
@nellz4estfairyz it’s awesome you’re giving them another shot! Echeveria have so many colorful varieties! I’ve lost a few as well though. I found having a strong light, a terracotta pot, and mostly inorganic soil helps prevent the most common issue—overwatering. Best of luck with your new plants!
