#Cannagirl I have two different kinds of Cannalily that I started from seed one is it called a Cleopatra canna and the other is a red cardinal Canna. They seem to be doing well I’m just wondering do they look like they’re ready to go in my potter for the season yet? I’ve been slowly hardening them off and today was the first day. I had them out literally since 10 AM this morning it’s now almost 6 PM. One got a little sunburnt, but that was from a previous trip outside. Everything seems OK today I’m going to post a picture and please let me know what you guys think and how many more days should I leave them outside or bring them inside to keep them safe but still harden them off so they’re ready to get planted thank you in advance
I don't really know, but I think it would have been best to start with excess window light and then put them outside? Outside is pretty hot depending where you live. From the look out, maybe it's best if you put them outside anytime except late fall and winter. Sry if I ranted off, I recommend a week more before you plant them.
@dinosgoroarr thank you that’s kind of what I was thinking about a week so far they’ve been doing well out there in this heat and all the different stuff with being consistently watered and having water at the bottom of their little trays so I think by the end of this week would be the end of my week so I will think I’m gonna go ahead and put them in my potter upload photos after I’ve done it. Thank you for your input and I have to agree with you that that’s kind of what I was thinking too.
@dinosgoroarr I forgot to mention, though I had been slowly acclimating them to the outside for an hour, and then slowly increasing the time over several weeks before starting to leave them out all the time in the last three days so they’ve been slowly getting hardened up
@StoriedUngnadia oh, that's smart! Also, glad I helped. Here's a free dino fact: did you know velociraptors were actually turkey-sized and had feathers?
No, that’s awesome to know. I I am very interested in the dinosaur world and woolly Mammoth.
@dinosgoroarr that’s really cool to know. I am very interested in the dinosaur world and woolly mammoths so if you have more facts feel free to post to me I like to learn new facts
@StoriedUngnadia oh sry I don't know anything about the Cenozoic period. : ( wish I did
@StoriedUngnadia or the ice age for that matter, except what I do know is that humans lived in the late Cenozoic to ice age too.
@dinosgoroarr I read online that by 2028. There may be the first hybrid woolly mammoth utilizing DNA from preserved frozen blood from found Mammoth in Siberia and then using a female either African or Asian elephant to bring back a sort of version of the woolly mammoth, they already started the process now woolly mice. The pictures are adorable. By the way woke it up if you’re bored the kind of look like hamsters, but the fur is a little different. That’s my interesting fact.
Oh, I've heard of that but completely forgotten. Oops.
@dinosgoroarr I think it’s amazing that we could see them again in our lifetime. I’ve been obsessed with them since I was a kid when I was a kid. I always wanted a pet one lol
