Hi friend, just a quick tip to anyone gardening outdoor this summer. If you see any of the below critters welcome them with open arms.
#1 ladybug larvae- they eat bad bugs voraciously
#2 ladybug pupa stage

# 3 & # 4 ladybugs at different ages

these were all found in my veggie garden this morning and I wanted to share. Just in case you also run across them.

Some of my veggie plants. Hubby is tilling me a new row on our Anniversary!!! Best hubby ever, 28 years strong! 🩷

Ummm... yeah we both decided to stay home a get some stuff done on the farm. It's cool this weekend so we want to take advantage of cooler weather for the weekend.
Hi Shannon, this is the first time I’ve ever seen ladybug larva. Thank you for the great information.
@Malagueña Your very welcome 🐞
@SuperbRaspfern Thank you for sharing, so cool!
Unfortunately people kill the ladybug larvae, they imagine it being a pest or some kind of worm because of the way they look.

Usually I look at Google or some AI for help every time I see a new insect/worm in the garden, just to be sure what it is and that was how I came to identify the beautiful ladybug larvae and other friendly spiders to keep around. 🐞
@SuperbRaspfern thank you for sharing this! @Malagueña I FREAKED out the first time I saw one of these years ago. I don’t know if it was a ladybug or a lacewing, but luckily I looked it up first, before I decided what to do (i.e. leave them well enough alone!) PHEW 😮‍💨 Any little “mini crocodiles” are fine in my garden 😅
Little "mini crocodiles" is quite right. And awesome! 🐞

Hi dear Shannon!
It's great to hear from you.

You and that keeper of a hubby of yours have made so many wonderful improvements to your ranch.
It does my heart ❤️ 💙 💜 good to know that you're very happy and have such an awesome focus in life, plus, all the healthy delicious food you're working to produce.

Thanks for showing the different stages in which a ladybug 🐞 develops.

I love ladybugs!

Please say hi to your daughter for me...
@SuperbRaspfern the tree in my front yard is “infested” with lady bugs. Unfortunately they try to hitchhike inside on occasion and I spend a lot of time transporting them back to the tree😂🤣.

I’d love to let them live in some of my fungus gnat prone plants but I’m afraid they’ll love it too much and take over the house. But it’s fun to see them. I love watching them fly around the tree.🐞🐞🐞🐞🐞💚
@JardimBel Job well done, I'm glad you do that! 🩷
