@Idplantthat Weird, I didn’t get this notification yesterday! Yes, they’re new leaves, they shoot up like tightly furled treasure maps and then unroll themselves, they are just so cute. Here’s my lil baby maranta today and the calathea—or is it geoppertia now? 🧐

@DreamMachine I love my calatheas these are older pics from last year they are quite a bit bigger now. I have three as you can see in the 2nd and 3rd pic.

I got lucky finding my pink pinstripe the store I go to for plants sometimes only had one left. I also have a red veined prayer plant to seems like we have similar taste in calatheas lol.

@SilkyRoses Nice! Yes we sure do 😁 I feel like they get a bad rap for being fussy, but in my experience I feel like they just don’t like being messed with. Kinda like teenagers, lol

@DreamMachine ikr I have heard so many bad things about calatheas being fussy and what not but mine are happy even without the high humidity that everyone says they need.
@SilkyRoses oh my goodness, yes! 😂 I don’t have a humidifier and I don’t even use special water. They all drink tap and are just fine. Although, I’m lucky to live in an area with naturally soft water. I don’t think I could do that if we had hard water.
