Is he going through his teenage emo phase? #DwarfBanana
He is my first banana plant.
From yesterday to today his leaves are significantly dropping down. The soil is moist (watered recently) and he is in a south-facing window.
Also noticed some yellow in the baby leaves. Is he being dramatic from being moved around (we moved to a new house and got him as a gift) or is there something wrong?

Hi Teresa! I have 2 Cavendish bananas and I have them on my back patio where they get a couple of hours of morning sun, the rest of the day theyβre in shade. These guys drink a LOT! I am watering every day as itβs 100+ degrees. Not sure about your climate in Holland, be careful if full sun. Without the heat, every 2-3 days., watering enough so water flows out the bottom. Looking at a pic, the soil looks dry. These bananas like rich, well draining soil (think succulent/cactus soil mixed with perlite, coco coir, and lots of compost). They like moist soil but they donβt do well sitting in wet soil. One last thing is you can cut the stem (βtrunkβ) halfway, and let the plant recover. It will grow back! I cut mine each wintering time (itβs still young) and it comes back bigger and stronger every time. Hereβs mine right now. I cut the bottom leaf when it looks sad to help promote growth.
