Hello everyone. I hope you had a great day. Also, whoops , I forgot the “tiger” part of the butterfly’s name 🙄 I didn’t know they made it down to Florida as well!!
I actually saw my first tiger swallowtail today! while I was out on my back porch hanging laundry up on the clothesline.
My first glimpse of one is something that I look forward to every year, and makes a chore, like hanging laundry, fun 😄
They seem to just come say hi to me, as I do not have many flowers in my back yard (silly me) and flutter about simply for the joy of it. I love them 🥰 And that reminds me I should probably plant some more candy tufts 😅

@Malagueña mmm! And dill is one of my all time favs. 😍 Not only is it delicious, but it also draws in beneficial bugs, and I let some of mine go to flower for the western swallowtail butterflies that are around here this time of year 😄
@DreamMachine , beautiful butterfly photo. Here is a photo of (2) Tiger swallowtails which I photographed several years ago in the Green swamp wilderness preserve. I’m not sure what kind of plant they are on. Whatever it is, it is a swamp plant. ♥️

Pardon me for not seeing your earlier comment until now! My day was lovely, I felt blessed by getting to putz around my plants and garden, and spend time with my daughter 🥰 I hope you had a nice day!
Ooh, and this pic is not too much to write home about yet, but I got incredibly excited at seeing the first blooms starting on my fragrant tea olive tree! I got this one specifically because it is said the scent is intoxicating. Hopefully they open enough that I can have a whiff tomorrow 🤞
