Momma plant looks sad now
Oooo, that's one juicy pineapple! I hope it's good!!
@izzyandsugar it’s good! The plant dropped it on its own before I was ready to harvest it, so I’m just glad it’s actually ripe! It’s probably the coolest thing I’ve grown. It just looks and tastes exactly right. Looking forward to raising the pups
So cool you grew your own pineapple 🍍✨️
@ballondusoleil from the top of a $1 grocery store pineapple! Only took 3 years to grow so that’s totally worth the dollar saved
Mama’s probably relieved to be rid of it and will bounce back beautifully!
Replant the crown, it can grow roots!
There’s nothing better than a pineapple you grow. My dad had 4 or 5 plants at his home and they were better than any other pineapple!
3 years for a well-earned pineapple! 🤩 Congrats, you're literally enjoying the fruit of your labors!
@CordialWildyam Oh wow, that’s is so cool Jason! I didn’t know you could grow them inside 😮🍍
Way to go!
If you want another free pineapple you can put the end into soil and it will eventually grow another one. They like humidity and warm whether! 😊
@ZenfrogZero @Succulent_Soul starting from a top is how this began! While fruiting, the plant put out three “slips” on the stalk. These are rooting now. It takes at least three years to get a new pineapple growing from a top, but it’s supposed to take only two years when growing from a slip. That’ll be the next adventure!
Oh, is that a white jade pineapple? It’s gorgeous. How’s the flavor in it? 🤔🥰
