I pruned my #Plumeria at the beginning of May. It didn’t do well after last winter and I was worried about whether it would grow again. The first 2 photos are from Tuesday, and the other 3 were taken today. I can’t believe how much growth it’s gotten just since Tuesday! 😍πŸ₯°

It looks like you have some pests munching on your tender baby leaves (causing the warped, melted look to the edges)… because there are so few leaves and they’re so young it is difficult to give advice, but you may want to do something like:
- check for aphids/mealybugs and kill them with tweezers, do this every day until you don’t see any for a few weeks; if you can’t physically see/kill the pest / it’s mites, tip it on its side and hose down the leaves as gently as possible (low pressure!) to wash away bugs and then put it upright again
- spray the trunk and top of the soil with a light layer of your gentle/natural pesticide of choice (should deter pests in and near the pot from crawling back up to eat the leaves)
Congratulations! That takes a lot of care
Oh wow! She’s happy and healthy! Congratulations 🎊 that’s awesome
Thanks y’all!

This beauty came from a cutting my mom gave me years ago. After she passed away last summer, I wasn’t able to care for my garden for months and worried I’d lose it. Thankfully I found solace again in dirt, and in time to see this one revived! πŸ₯°
@Maximum How old is your Ponytail Palm? So pretty!! I just got a baby one and I’m very excited about it! What do you have yours potted in? What kind of mix did you use?
@LaneyLichen only 2 weeks old for me.

She doesn’t like my East facing sunlight patio β€” so she’s on my 2nd story ledge now
Mine isn’t seeming too happy either. I just repotted it. I got mine about two months ago. 🀞🀞🀞
@smushface Thank you so much for the information! I hadn’t even registered the leaf curling! I have Neem oil, that will work, right?
I just bought one and live in hot Arizona. It is already wilting. I planted it outside. Is that normal?
@SoulfulChards11 Ooh the red flowers are so pretty!!

Wilting can mean over or under watering, or other things, too. How often are you watering your Plumeria? You said you planted yours in the ground, or did you mean you have it in a container outside?

I live in super hot Florida and they definitely don’t mind the heat, since Plumeria originate from much hotter places, but it’s also extremely humid here, which you’re obviously missing in AZ. Since we live in similarly very hot places, I’d reckon it’s the lack of humidity causing the wilting. It could be losing too much moisture through transpiration. I’m not sure how you increase the humidity there.

Take pictures if you can. Good luck! I’m here trying to grow cactus during hurricane season, so we’re in the same boat! πŸ˜‚πŸ’šπŸŒΏ
