Is this a 'Holly' or 'Silver

Syngonium Watering Day! I love these babies so much, they just make me so happy to look at them lol i just bought this “silver” syngonium but Greg says she’s a Holly or white butterfly and i didn’t even see silver syngonium on the list. #PlantID any guesses? I’m also just noticing these little brown dots, I’m hoping it’s just old sunburn spots. 😅 #Syngonium #PinkSyngonium #Holly

Hey Leslie! This guy looks like a Syngonium ‘Silver Pearl’ to me. You can find that species in our database already — just be sure to include the ‘…’ around the cultivar names, this will help it appear higher up in the search!

Congrats on the new additions, those are some super cool syngoniums!
Those are beautiful babies
@clairsheart thank you!
Maybe they weren't able to put in silver? Greg is sometimes really wacky with the IDs, every time I put a rosette succulent in they always say it's a Pearl Echeveria... even when it's an aeonium! @alex
@Lehhliee I don’t see Syngonium ‘Silver’ in the database yet, I’ll check with our support team and we can add it for you. You can also add new species yourself if you’re on an iPhone and you tap the purple “Can’t find it?” text after searching for a species.

And yes @LittleSongbird instant ID of plant cultivars can be quite challenging! Usually the genus should be identified correctly but it sounds like you have an example where an Aeonium and Echeveria were confused - definitely room for improvement there. We’ll keep improving the recognition!
@alex No doubt you guys will! Greg seems to have a hard time with Echeverias, but that's not very hard to confuse. Also, question-- when will adding species be available for Android?
@LittleSongbird we “trained” the image recognition feature more on foliage cultivars than succulents, so it makes sense that it struggles more with Echeverias. Now we’re partnering with some of the largest growers of succulents on the planet so it’s on our minds to revisit this for sure. Thanks for sharing your experience 🙏 it helps.

We hope to support adding species on Android this spring. Right now we’re very focused on a big new feature that I think people will be surprised by and will like a lot, so it’s scheduled for after we’ve finished this big update.

More info to come! We’ll get feedback from active community members like yourself before it’s widely available :)
Leslie, they’re beautiful
@alex thank you! I just didn’t want to add it yet if that wasn’t what it was 😅 Home Depot isn’t always right when they label their plants lol
@Kiersten oh great, thank you!! I’ll go ahead and change it now 🤩
